Brief Bio

I am a Master (Vice President of Technology) at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology(SAIT), Suwon, South Korea and I am leading AI technology related to Autonomous Machines at SAIT. Prior working at SAIT, I worked on mobile phone and SoC software development. Before that I was a Visiting Researcher at Montreal Institute for Learning Algorithms(MILA) (Professor Simon Lacoste-Julien). I completed my PhD at POSTECH(Pohang University of Science and Technology) under the supervision of Professor Sangchul Won. My current and past research work broadly involve machine learning, computer vision, robotics. More recently, I am primarily interested in AI based Autonomous Machine = AI + Robotics.
